Kirkhill Primary School

A Technology Adventure!

Today we read the book, The Most Magnificent Thing about a girl who loves to make things (a super book that promotes girls and science!).  She has a great idea of something she’d like to make and has to try and try and try to achieve her goal,  See if your child can remember the long word we talked about that shows she never gave up!

We also talked about Sir Issac Newton and how he figured out some pretty cool things that we still talk about today.  We talked about why  the things we drop fall to the earth and what forces we use to make things move.

We then set off on an adventure around the park to investigate and use different forces to see what we could find out. Everyone worked super-hard in their teams and found great examples of pushing, pulling, sliding, spinning and bouncing!

What great fun this looks! Love the fact that the blog makes sense for me of Sam’s account of his day ?

I’m glad it helps make sense of Sam’s day! I think we’ll be going on many more adventures to the park as they all loved it!
