A windy morning in the woods!

What a great way to start the term! We enjoyed a windy walk but then took shelter under the trees where we watched squalls of rain pass by and then spotted sunshine and rainbows!

Today was all about measure. We used lots of measure vocabulary, we estimated, we sorted and we compared. Can you describe the activities to someone at home?

We also discovered these incredible moths, they were under the leaves and very sleepy so we think we might have disturbed their hibernation. After having a quick look we returned them to where we found them. Can anyone at home help us to identify them?

We will be looking for parent volunteers to help out with our outdoor learning this term. I will send home a letter this week with details!

Callum found out the moth was a Sattelite moth, because the little spots look like sattelites circiling around a planet. It wasen’t hibrenating because they are awake all winter! ???? you did really well finding it p1, ?I miss going to the woods?

Wow! Thank you Rowan and Callum! That’s amazing! I wonder why we found two beside each other under the leaves?
