After a long wait the much anticipated Chrome books ,arrived in our classrooms on Friday. Frenetic charging took place all around the school,
but today we were able to look and try them out and even share ideas with our P5 buddies.
We had a very interesting morning with Vanessa , a SSPCA officer who told us about her work around our area ,making sure that animals are looked after and educating the public on how to be “animal aware”.
We got to play a question and answer game on the welfare of farm animals and if we we got an answer correct we got a piece of our model chicken to build.

Charleston STEM club came into school on Wednesday and worked with the Upper school, showing them how to prepare slides and use a microscope. It was an excellent hands on session and we wish them all the best with their STEM competition in Birmingham. Lovely to see some former pupils back at Kirkhill contributing to the next generation of young scientists:)
