On Friday 2nd October, we all took part in the Ness Book Fest Reading Challenge (an Inverness based initiative and part of the Highland Book Festival). The challenge was to get as many children as possible, all reading at the same time, all over the UK. We read from 9:15am – 9:45am. Some of us read for pleasure, some were read to, some listened to books and some of us did a bit of everything. This year, we helped absolutely smash the record, and an incredible total of 14,200 children were reading at the same time, although the organisers suspect the unofficial total exceeds this! Well done Team Kirkhill! Have a look at the official video and selection of our photos below.
Congratulations to Brody MacIver who came 1st in the Junior Golf World Championship Qualifiers.
Brody has got a place in the IMG world event in San Diego in July next year representing Britain.
P4 spoke to the school about the litter found around the playground. They are going to take responsibility for keeping an eye on the litter situation. They will look at the amount of bins and their location in the playground. They will report back to Mrs Dunbar about how the playground is looking.
