It’s Technology Week!
This week we’ve got lots of fun learning planned as we explore technology in Primary 1. We were very lucky to start our week with Evelyn from UHI who brought a robot and a caterpillar that we got to program to do different things. Using code we had the caterpillar moving around our room and creating shapes and letters. We learned the fancy name for a sequence of codes… I wonder if anyone can remember what it was?
We also had a bit of a mystery to solve as we came into a strange scene on our carpet…
We had two challenges to complete:
- Think about what had happened to poor Humpty
- Create our own Humpty Dumpty that could move his arms and legs
There were some very creative responses to this challenge and I’m sure you’ll agree that everyone did a great job!
We’re going to be thinking this week about what we could make to get Humpty safely over the wall so if you have to time to chat about this with your child, that would be super!
