Magnificent ME!

This week we started our new topic, Magnificent Me, which explores the human body, our senses and keeping ourselves safe and healthy.  We had a think about what we know about our bodies and drew some great pictures!

We decided to find out about our eyes and had a look at the different eye colours in our class (this was tricky as we spotted that some eyes have lots of different colours). See if your child can remember what the black bit in the middle of the eye is called…

We’ve also been reading to learn new things and found out some cool facts about humans and animals. We discovered that a giant squid has eyes as big as a football! See if your child can remember what a giraffe can do with its tongue and where a cricket has its ears!

If you have any books relating to our topic that your child can bring in to share we’d love to read them!

This is such a great way to keep up to speed with what the kids are learning. Normally when I ask Abby what she’s been up to, I get the standard ‘I can’t remember’ response!
Looks like they’re all having an amazing time here learning about their bodies.

Thanks for your comment! It’s amazing how much more you get out of your little ones when they see themselves on the blog! Great conversation starters as they can start to tell you all about their day😊

We’re really enjoying the blog and the photos – it’s a great way for Bethan to talk through what she’s been learning in class. Lovely to see all those happy faces! 😊
