Kirkhill Primary School

Our FIRST day in Primary 1!

What a great first day we’ve had in Primary 1! Everyone has been super-busy, kind and making good choices. We worked on our fine motor skills by feeding Bob the Ball and made some amazing pictures using paper strips (we had to cut straight lines, wavy lines and spirals!). We also had a go at remembering our numbers up to 10 and lots of us could write them beautifully. We made patterns, wrote stories and drew pictures too. We went out running, exploring, managed to eat lots of our lunch and had heaps of fun with our friends. We’re all going to be sleepy tonight I think…

Take a look at your little ones in action and be sure to leave a comment to tell me what they enjoyed the most about their first day!

The photos are fantastic looks luke everyone had a fun filled first day. Ieuan had a fantastic 1st day and is coming back tomorrow 👍
The bit that Ieuan enjoyed the most was putting the right number of dinosaurs on the number stone.

Hudson had a great day and was very enthusiastic about doing EVERYTHING so I’m not surprised he said he enjoyed it all! Hopefully he’ll sleep well tonight and we’ll see him ready for more fun tomorrow😊

That’s great to hear! Sam seemed quite at home in P1 and did a super job as my special helper in charge of the lunches!

I love that Ciara had great fun on her first day! It’s amazing how much learning can be crammed into their play and they just aren’t aware of it!

Abby has settled in amazingly, she loves school and skips down every morning! She says Miss MacKenzie is awesome and she likes ALL of her classmates 😊 Abby tells me that her favourite part of school is ‘everything’ – long may it continue.
Having such a supportive teacher and a great group of mums, is making school life a breeze – thank you all!
