Our Woodland Adventures…

What a gloriously sunny morning we had in the woods today! We were working hard on our numbers and used ‘tally mark sticks’ to show numbers up to ten before we took on the challenge of making a much bigger number! We also played Vanishing Sticks to work on our number bonds within ten and everyone was really good at this?!

We had lots of fun (and probably scared away all the wildlife with our screaming!) playing 1, 2, 3 Where Are You? and What’s the time Mr Wolf?

And then of course we had time to enjoy our snacks in the sun and PLAY! Ask your child what they enjoyed most about our adventure to the woods and be sure to leave a comment with their thoughts!

Archie enjoyed playing in the woods today, he said throwing the leaves in the air at the end was great fun!!! Archie told us about making dens and playing games like 1-2-3 where are you. We know how to play it now for the next time we go for a walk in the woods 🙂

Ieuan loves Monday’s as he loves being in the woods and outdoors.
He loves playing 1,2,3 where are you and how Sam’s mum (Natalie) plays too! He loved throwing the leaves and I love the photo of them all doing this and Ieuan at the very end in the air….. having a blast. Was a lovely day for it.

He does seem in his element when he’s learning outdoors?! Fingers crossed for many more sunny Mondays in the woods!
