Under the Sea Experts!
The Pine Martens were the first group to present to the class today and they were all AMAZING! They have clearly worked hard to learn new and interesting information and all did an excellent job of teaching us all something new. See if your child can remember one new fact they learned today. I can’t wait to hear what the Squirrels will share with us tomorrow!

i injoyed the toks. there were lots of facts.
star fish have sucker tubes for sensing electricity from their predators so they can get away quickly – they also have no eyes;
the mimic octopus can change shape and colour;
the cookie cutter shark cuts 3 holes before eating and it would sometimes eat other sharks;
the sail fish all work to chase their prey to the surface and trap them before eating them;
the sting ray has a venomous sting on its tail and it also has wings.
(facts dictated to mum for speed!)

They were all amazing! Ally did an incredible job of talking to the audience all the way through and answering some tricky questions from his friends!

I’d give the presentations a thumbs up! Rowan had lots of facts about cat sharks & she told us about one being rescued.

Fin told me lots of facts that he had learned but my phone died! So we will look at this again tomorrow. I love the photos. Well done to all of them so far! I know I couldn’t have stood up in P1 and done this. I just love how confidence is encouraged in children now. Its brilliant! Finlay was so confident this morning.

All of the children astounded me with their confidence – it was wonderful to see! Fin was so at ease during his talk, he chatted away while reclining in his seat! He was GREAT – you would have been very proud!
