Where should we go?
Our new topic will take us on local adventures and help us get to know more about where we live. Have a chat at home and think about the places your child would like to go (all within a 10 minute walk if possible!) and leave a comment with their ideas! All the ideas will help us shape their learning experiences from now until Easter – can’t wait to hear where we might end up!

That would be a good adventure for us (especially if we could stop off at Granny’s house for some of her home-baking!).

Annie and I talked about Wardlaw Mausoleum, Annie remembers going there before and thought this might be a good adventure.

Sam’s suggestions are the Millenium Garden, Wardlaw Mausoleum and the memorial in the churchyard to find out what it is commemorating.

Jack would like to go to the park in Kirkhill and build a den in the trees there.

Freddie thought it would be fun to collect the eggs from our hens and that I could set up a treasure hunt for the whole class! He suggested it would be good to be in threes so they can work as teams to find all the treasure.
Or to go down to Ian’s at Groam and see the cows.
There is a little concern that it might take quite a long time to walk from Groam to our house!

Tom’s first suggestion was to the church coffee morning on a Tuesday so the children can play and the teacher can have a cup of coffee! Otherwise he likes to explore within the estate and the woods.

I like the idea of me enjoying a cup of coffee while the children play – good thinking Tom!

Kai loves going geocaching when we are out and about? There is one in Kirkhill down by cemetery, it’s a wee tub with a little log book that you sign your name in ??
