Wild Animals and People who help us in School

We have been very busy in nursery over the last few weeks!

We wanted to find out more about the different people who help us in school so we went to visit the janitor, the cook and the headteacher to find out about the jobs they do. We then created paper plate faces to recall what we knew and to extend our knowledge of the many important jobs that these people do for us while in school.

We have been learning about science and have taken part in some messy play experiments, we had great fun mixing, stirring, handling, painting and playing with our snow paint, moon dough and moon sand!

We have also shown a great interest in dinosaurs recently, we managed to find out lots of interesting facts about them and why they are no longer around today. Our interest has now moved onto wild animals so this is going to be our topic for the next several weeks. We are excited about learning lots about different species. To start with we are focusing on jungle animals but who knows where we might end up with a little thought and imagination!

This looks like so much fun! We’ve been hearing all about the cook, the Janitor and Mrs Dunbar. It’s so lovely to hear all about their day.
