Amazing Artists!

This week we looked at a very famous painting by Vincent van Gogh and talked about the colours, shapes and lines he used to create this work of art. Ask your child if they can remember what his painting was called…

We then had a go at creating our very own masterpieces and let our oil pastels swirl across our paper. Our P7 buddies came to lend a hand and helped us make a nighttime city skyline to finish our pictures off.

We also talked about how art makes us feel so ask your child what they think and feel when they look at their artwork and leave a comment with their response.

She did an amazing job, didn’t she? She’s super-arty and you’re right I think she’d be happy to draw all day, every day!!

Archie was so excited for us to see this picture. It’s beautiful! Love the big moon and shiny windows for all the houses. Archie said his picture makes him feel “sleepy as it’s a night sky”.
