Flat-breads go down a Treat!

We were baking Stone Age style in P3 this morning with help from Mrs MacDonald, Mrs MacKinnon and Mrs P’s sturdy girdle pan.

We used traditional Spelt flour and water ,kneaded it int a dough which we rolled flat before baking it on the roasting hot girdle.

We allowed ourselves butter but also honey which the Stone Age people did gather from wild bees nests in the trees. As Alec said “Their pain was our gain!”.

We hope some of the children will make you some flatbreads at home for you to sample.
