Woodland Fun!

What a glorious, sunny day for us to spend learning in the woods! We had a great time working on three different jobs: going on a leaf hunt, making clay creatures to protect the wood and building mini dens for the magical creatures that live in the forest. The best bit of course was that lots of parents (and a few little brothers and sisters) managed to join us in the wood and we think they had as much fun as we did!

The dens and clay creatures will be in the wood this week so if you want to go for a family adventure to see them then I’m sure your children will be able to remember the way!

Have a chat with your child and see what they’ve enjoyed most about our adventures into the woods, be sure to leave a comment on the blog. On behalf of all the children in P1, we’d like to say a HUGE thank you to Grace (and Seoras!) for showing us this magical piece of woodland that’s right on our doorstep. I’m sure we’ll venture back there again.

It was fun, wasn’t it? Your fox and shelter were amazing – you worked hard on them! Do you still have the spotty stick? I wonder if we can do some investigating and find out what the spots are…?
